minor update to this: unless this isnt a hardware thing and is a software thing only, the purple error I encountered seems to happen occasionally, even after making the PPU cache manually and running the game normally after, but right clicking the game and using the reboot option works just fine. I imagine this purple error will keep happening until rpcs3 is more optimized, or.....its just a semi=permanent fixture, like paperwork, or cleaning dust off countertops, or spam callers
