They help a few games run better yes. Not that rpcs3 runs anything meaningful at this point in time.
So, It means that we can run game without LLE modules. right?

You also need to obtain them through a CFW PS3.
Sadly I dont own a PS3
Most bigger (mostly those that aren't 2D) will require LLE of certain modules at this point of time. You'll be able to run most of the games currently listed in the playable section without LLE. (You'll likely be missing sound though)
