[BLES000695] Tornado Outbreak Freezing Issue

This game has run flawlessly in the past, I have 100% completed it in one run on my computer. I have tried off and on again this year to do a full run again but the game has been steadily freezing 1-3 levels in. I've been hoping an update would fix it but it freezes every time still after a couple levels. I found an old reddit saying to adjust "driver wake up delay" but that did not work. My settings have always been default, the driver wake was the first setting I have adjusted but I reverted it since it didn't help. 

Anyone having the same issue and maybe found a fix?
