Could posibbly be something wrong with the game files, the emulators files or your hardware isnt powerful enough. RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - DthVader - 08-31-2020 Hello guys. I've been trying to get it to work as suggested by TheRoam with quick.silver1's adjustments and patch(except I use Read Depth Buffers, cause if I don't there will be missing light effect in left corner of screen), but it doesn't get me more than 15 FPS while actually playing and not watching cutscenes or loading. And I use 720p resolution instead of 720x480, because I can't seem to get Resolution Scale to work, when I use it it just makes my screen green and doesn't scale my window. Plus I don't know maybe it's my GPU but I have flares/artifacts(or whatever they're called) on screen in menu and in game. Here's my hardware: i7-4790 @ 3.60 GHz, 32 GB RAM, AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. zFBcSgP RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - icemann - 09-10-2020 I'd suggest waiting until the game works better and faster in the emulator. Plenty of other games to fill in your time, between now and then. RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - hrkljus1 - 09-18-2020 Hi, I've successfully played through The Last of Us using an R5 1600 and an RX 560 mostly following advice from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bQVWhOvqOg. I was usually running between 12 and 25 FPS (most of the time around ~17 FPS), but this was enough for the game to be reasonably playable. Occasionally I've had to change the settings to avoid crashes, all of which was already documented in the aforementioned video or in other resources. Even with such a weak graphics card, my CPU was the bottleneck, so for a good experience (>30FPS) you probably need a modern 8-core CPU paired with pretty much any graphics card. I've encountered a new trap error that from what I can see isn't covered by the existing patch, so I would like to report it (let me know if there is a better place to post this): - [ be32, 0x7bb5c4, 0x60000000 ] I.e. I've put this in my patch file below other trap error fixes, just like it's explained in the video. This is for version 1.11, i.e. it goes into the section below "tlou111_trap: &tlou111_trap". This covers a crash/trap error that happens here (similar, but not the same crash as displayed in the video, it happens a bit earlier): https://youtu.be/6bQVWhOvqOg?t=585 RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - jerdabile87 - 09-23-2020 i've finished the game 4 times since the devs added the emulated TSX....the game is more stable and playable than ever RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - quick.sliver1 - 10-14-2020 Almost Playable Flawless gameplay with no more critical addressed crashes and no more struggling through config. Gameplay FPS is Variable. (A new set of PPU modules are successfully built when booting game). Graphic/Cutscenes are well-rendered (Except for Projectile/Listen Mode only). Sound/Effects are clearly working. - No more trap errors @ Hotel Lobby (Elevator) & Underground Tunnel (Bus) that addressed in #38,#50 - Flawless gameplay @ Financial District/University/Cabin Resort Chapters that addressed in #50,#57 # Gameplay Variable FPS = (18~29~44~60) – Unlocked FPS # Cutscenes stable (59~60) # RPCS3 v0.0.12-11014-40558e7a Alpha # Non-Default setting [Res. Works like crap on 720p, though. Here's hoping for more optimizations.. Ryzen 5 2600, GTX 1660 Super. PD: One thing, by applying patches I got the game to consistently run at 10/15 fps, but the flashlight is broken, any clue on that? RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - lainiwaku - 11-10-2020 i think there are some regression, the game only started 1/4 time yesterday, and today i tried to restart the game at least 6 time it still freeze.... if someone else could test ~ (it started perfectly some weeks ago) it freeze without errors on the log also RE: The Last of Us [BCUS98174] - nandru - 11-10-2020 (11-09-2020, 12:43 PM)ro55 Wrote: you have to start the game in 720p, and use the scaling at 150% to get 1080p Oooh, first boot at 720p AND THEN scale up to 150%, got it! [/quote] I have to search again, but most if not all know working configs are for (very) old revisions or higher end processors/graphic cards. I get my 2600 isn't good for emulation, here's hoping I can afford a 5000 ryzen or at least a 3600x |
