Ingame now. Turns out you need to install the update v01.03 to get past the Intro.
Not sure if this is playable. I just temporarily checked on my ancient laptop. Will run it on my PC tomorrow.
Attaching screenshot and log for reference. You can take the settings in the log with a grain of salt, I was just messing around. Will do a proper check whether any special settings are required tomorrow.

Playable! Spent over an hour trying every game mode that was available. Didn't encounter any bugs.

The game was just hanging as other mentioned above when I had "PSN Status: Simulated" in Network settings.
Changing it to "PSN Status: Disconnected" makes the game fully playable.
